Kyla brings extensive international experience advising businesses on a broad range of commercial and corporate matters, intellectual property, and privacy and data protection issues across a variety of industries. She has held in-house legal counsel roles with leading organizations in the UK, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice in complex environments.
 
Her experience includes advising global brands and technology-driven organizations, giving her a strong understanding of the legal and commercial considerations that underpin business decisions. She has particular experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and supporting strategic business initiatives.
 
Kyla is known for her collaborative approach, commercial mindset, and ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical and actionable advice. Having worked within a range of international businesses, including tech and media, she brings a valuable in-house perspective to her legal practice and understands the importance of balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
 
Kyla is internationally qualified, having been admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2018 and called to the Bar in Ontario in October 2025. She began her legal career at a national full-service law firm before moving into in-house legal roles, where she developed significant experience advising businesses from within their organizations. She brings this in-house perspective to her practice, with a focus on practical risk management and commercially effective legal solutions.
